This Privacy Policy explains how Edupier (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects your personal data when you use www.edupier.in (the “Website”) and any related services, including course enquiries, registrations, learning features, and communications (collectively, the “Services”).

2) What data we collect
We collect data in three buckets: (A) data you provide, (B) data we collect automatically, and (C) data from third parties.
A) Data you provide directly
Depending on what you do on EduPier, you may provide:
- Identity & contact data: name, phone number, email address, city, school/grade (if relevant)
- Account data: username, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), profile details
- Education/service data: course interest, enrolment details, attendance, assessments, progress, submissions, feedback
- Communication data: messages, emails, support tickets, call notes, WhatsApp messages (if you contact us there)
- Payment data (if applicable): transaction references, payment status, invoices/receipts
- Note: We typically do not store full card/bank details if payments are processed by a payment gateway. The gateway may process such details directly.
B) Data collected automatically
When you use the Website, we may automatically collect:
- Device & technical data: device type, browser type, OS, IP address, language, time zone (approx.)
- Usage data: pages viewed, clicks, session duration, referral URLs
- Cookies & similar trackers: as described in Section 8
- Security logs: logs needed to monitor abuse, prevent fraud, and keep systems secure
C) Data from third parties
We may receive limited data from:
- Payment partners (payment status, transaction reference)
- Login providers (if you use Google/Apple/etc., we get basic profile data permitted by you)
- Analytics providers (aggregated usage insights)
3) Sensitive personal data and special care
Under Indian law, some data types are treated as Sensitive Personal Data/Information (SPDI) (e.g., passwords, financial details, medical records).
EduPier aims to minimise collection of such data and only uses it when necessary for Services, compliance, or security.
If EduPier ever needs SPDI for a specific feature, we will request clear consent and explain why it’s needed.
4) Why we process your data (purposes)
We process personal data to:
- Provide Services: create accounts, manage enrolments, deliver learning content, track progress, issue certificates (if any)

- Support & operations: customer support, troubleshooting, internal administration
- Payments & invoicing (if applicable): process fees, refunds, receipts, accounting
- Safety & security: prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access; maintain logs; enforce policies
- Improve EduPier: analytics, product improvements, performance monitoring
- Legal compliance: meet obligations under applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful requests
5) Legal basis
We rely on one or more of the following bases, as applicable:
- Your consent (for example, marketing messages or optional features)
- To provide Services you request (for example, when you fill a form or create an account)
- Legitimate uses / operational necessity (for security, fraud prevention, service communications)
- Legal obligation (for compliance, tax/accounting, responding to lawful orders)
Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it (Section 11). Withdrawal may limit access to some Services.
6) How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data only as needed with:
- Service providers (“processors”) who help run EduPier (hosting, email/SMS, analytics, customer support tools)
- Payment gateways (if you pay on EduPier)
- Professional advisers (auditors, legal counsel) under confidentiality
- Government / law enforcement when required by law or valid legal process
- Business transfers (merger, acquisition, restructuring) with appropriate safeguards
We share only what is necessary, and we require reasonable confidentiality and security obligations from vendors.
7) International transfers
Your data may be processed outside India if we use cloud/service providers with infrastructure in other countries.
When we transfer data, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection (contracts, access controls, security measures).

Edupier may be used by students under 18. Where required, we will:
